Well at least Mail.app is better than it used to be. But I've been able to avoid the problem by setting, in Mail settings and locations, to partially retrieve pop messages over 9 K. The problem 11 k message doesn't hang up that way and can be deleted. I was surprised at how much mail I get that actually is under 9K. -- Barbara Needham
