My experience was somewhat different. I used Entourage exclusively for several years but a couple of years ago I switched to PowerMail. I did a lot of research before switching to find the client that matched up best with the features I was looking for, one of which was speed. Almost every review mentioned PM's speed. When I switched over, that's one of the things I noticed: that typing, sending, downloading, and searching (not surprising given the FoxTrot engine) seemed faster. I think you're right: some may have to do with illusion, some with expectations, and some with the configuration of the computer. Ken
