I worked for a company that claimed they could track whether email they
sent was read on both Windows and Mac platforms. I didn't think much
about it at the time because their Mac support at the time was buggy and
minimal.

However, it has been at the back of my mind frequently since then when I
read my email. I very rarely click on links in email, and 99% of the
forwarded email I get is never opened. So, I want to know if it is
really possible for someone to know what email I open using PowerMail?

For instance, I discovered this Web Site today, <http://
www.didtheyreadit.com/index.php> and wondered if this really works. It
claims to be able to know when the email was received, when it was
opened, whether attachments were opened, and how long the email was
opened for. Are they able to gather this information from PowerMail?

I don't know whether any of the PM users know of this or whether the
CTMDev will read it and provide an answer, but just thought I'd throw it
out there and ask.

This is one reason I don't like to read my email through webmail
options. It's just creepy to me to know that people could be spying on
my email-reading habits and actions. I also wonder if this affects my
mobileme email, so I think I'll look into that as well.
