Dates on E-mails

I sometimes open e-mails in groups of separate windows, especially when
reviewing old posts. An annoying thing about it, though, is that all of the
outgoing e-mails have no date on them, where the incoming ones have a date next
to the subject line. Can this be changed? Am I missing a setting somewhere?
