Hi all:
Has anyone been able to send and receive mail to/from a Hotmail account
using PowerMail?

Yes without problem - using the same settings as for any other address.

Thanks for the reply Charles, that's what I thought but something is
going wrong somewhere.....
I'm using:- Incoming: pop3.live.com
Use secure connection (SSL/TLS) Use port 995
On a dedicated secure port - I've also checked "Always use APOP
suthentication"
Sending: smtp.live.com
Authenticate as user [redacted] password is supplied
Use secure connection (SSL/TLS) Use port 587
Checked "on a dedicated secure port"
Can't see anything wrong, although I am assuming pop3/smtp/live.com are
also applicable for [email protected] addresses.
Could be the problem is the ISP blocking certain ports although 995 and
587 are normally available.
Cheers,
Chris

I don't use any of these 'Advanced' settings, only those that handle mail size
and retention of retrieved messages on the server.

While I check 'Use port port 587', I do not check "on a dedicated secure port".

Using your settings PM hangs, so I'm concluding that it must be a
problem at my ISP's end so I shall have to investigate further.
Thanks for the help.
Best,
Chris
