Nothing unusual yesterday except I was prompted to download and install Java 7 Update 09. A few hours later PowerMail was downloading 100s of old messages from my POP e-mail account. Looking further, I saw none of my Sent messages were in the Sent folder from after the end of July. I also noticed that one of my PM message folders was missing and some other folders were missing recent messages. My iMac (10.8.2) was not running smoothly. I used Option Command and restarted PM 6.1.3 and ran all the options there -- twice, but no help.
Luckily, I had a SuperDuper clone from Sunday, so I started from that. Weirdly, I saw PM messages I sent yesterday in this clone from Sunday. There weren't any missing PM message folders and no messages appeared to be missing. I cloned the clone back to my iMac and all seems okay now. I don't know if that Java update was the culprit, but I don't think I'll install on my iMac now. Again, for the clone from Sunday to have messages I sent Thursday seems really strange to me.
