Cooper places the DRD and DLR together on the workers hard hat.
Jeremy Bebb Staff Health Physicist Cooper Nuclear Station (402) 825-5026 From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of O'Connor, Deborah Sent: Tuesday, January 18, 2011 1:26 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Powernet: Multibadge question I would like to poll the industry for some information concerning where you place your dosimetry when it is necessary to monitor the head location. Currently, when we require the workers to re-locate their OSL and EPD to the head we place the dosimetry in a whirl pack and tape it to the outside of the hard hat. We sometimes see dose gradients during refuel for head disassembly and reassembly which require re-location of the dosimetry. We are getting some push back from the work group that this is a safety concern and that other plants do not monitor the head location in this manner. Any information you could share would be appreciated.
