In Steam affected Areas Browns Ferry only performs surveys as needed for
entry. Hopefully the entry is not at 100%. We do not survey these
areas on a routine basis just to have a survey of them.

Subject: Powernet: 100% power steam affected surveys

Cooper Nuclear Station has the following question concerning BWR 100%
power steam affected area surveys.

CNS currently performs a 100% power survey post outage and accumulates
approximately 200 mrem, and the question was posed do we need to perform
this survey? At what frequency does you plant perform steam affected
area 100% power surveys? Do you post the areas survey required prior to
entry or do you do surveys on some frequency (semi-annual, annual, post
outage 100% power?)
