DC Cook does the following.

Does your site use:

DL?
DA?
MDA?
CL?
LD?
LC?
LLD?
MDC?
ABC?
123?

DC Cook uses MDA for Alpha and Beta counters. Specifically the Ludlum
3030P and the Canberra S5E. Also, procedurally we assume the LLD is the
same as the MDA.

What are your technicians expected to calculate?

Since the Ludlum 3030P and the Canberra S5E calculate the MDA through
internal firmware, the technicians are not required to calculate anything.

How do you define these mathematically – what formulas do you use for
each?

If you need the individual formulas that the instruments calculate, just
let me know and I can provide you with them.

What is your basis – that is, what is the regulation you point to for your
basis?

EPRI document 1013509 is used for alpha guidance.
The Pland ODCM is used for LLD calculation.
