Palo Verde provides the following response: 2010 Site Collective Dose = 113 Rem
RP Department dose = 29.6 Rem RP Only = 16.5 Rem Radwaste = 2.3 Rem Decon staff = 10.8 As you can see, RP dose at Palo Verde is ~25% of total site dose. Years ago we were about 40% or more. This reduction is primarily due to the use of remote monitoring equipment and overall changes in radiological job coverage i.e., the tech not being at all work locations all of the time.
