Ron, Our state allows the use of our normal DLRs (in our case OSLDs). We wear one DLR and one EAD during radiography operations. The only thing we do differently for the radiographers is that we read theirs quarterly as required by the state of Mississippi.
No we do not have area controls at the storage site, but we do routine surveys of the area. The camera is locked up and controlled by the radiographers and RP. What are your procedural requirements for radiographers pertaining to record dose dosimeters (RDD)? 2. Do your radiographers wear two RDD's during radiography? 3. How are control RDD's maintained in the radiography area? Is there any signs, are they locked up, etc? These questions are being asked by myself for Jason Ianacone, Health Physics Technician here at Wolf Creek. Thanks in advance, Ron Ayers Wolf Creek Burlington, Ks.
