Palo Verde provides the following response:

Palo Verde does not perform response checks on our electronic dosimeters (Palo
Verde uses the DMC-2000S and performs a semi-annual calibration). During
initial usage of this electronic dosimeter we random selected 10 electronic
dosimeters per unit per month to response check. Several years of this testing
yielded zero failures and thus this practice was suspended. The calibration
process and internal diagnostics have been deemed sufficient.

Subject: Powernet: DMC-2000s Response Check Frequency

Browns Ferry currently conducts a quarterly response check on our DMC2000S
dosimeters. This is in addition to our yearly calibration. One of our new
employees that came from another utility claims we are out of line with the
rest of the industry on this as they just did a yearly response check.

What frequency do you response check your electronic dosimeters?
