At San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station we have ALARA HP Planner’s. The position is actually a Technical Specialist position. One Planner is responsible for On-line and one is responsible for Outage work. We do have Technicians working in the Planning office during Outages in an upgrade position to help cover all Outage shifts. During Non-Outage the planning office is staffed Mon-Fri, dayshift only. In preparation for an outage we increase our hours and might have upgraded Technicians help with work processing.
