North Anna is a 2-unit PWR. Our Protected Area is a Restricted Area due to the
dose rates within this area. We require all workers entering the Protected
Area to complete Plant Access Radiation Worker training (PARWT) and wear a TLD.
Workers entering an RCA will need to complete PARWT and Radiation Worker
training.
Visitors do not require TLDs in our Protected Area. We utilize our Area TLD
monitoring program to ensure exposures are less than a 100 mrem. Visitors who
need access to the RCA are issued a TLD and DAD for exposure monitoring.

Subject: Powernet: TLDs for Entry into Protected Area

Brunswick is a BWR with moderate HWC injection. Our current policy is to
require all personnel entering the Protected Area (PA) to obtain a TLD and
Radworker Training before entry. This includes visitors who will only be
onsite for a short period of time ( 1 - 2 weeks, or less) and only enter the PA
infrequently during their visit.

Is this consistent with other BWRs? BWRs with moderate HWC?

If not, what is your TLD/Radworker training policy for entering the Protected
Area?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.
