Joe, Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant uses three of these units.
Our processes are still evolving. Our biggest learning curve has been on the use of QC charts for daily function checks versus the daily determination of background and efficiency. It is a new process for most of the technicians. Our other issue is the accumulation and how much data to acquire to generate the QC charts. This has caused problems with having daily function checks outside the 2SD or 3SD sometimes because our tolerances are too tight from limited data with small variation; conversely, we gather data for 6 weeks which greatly extends the time needed for daily checks because we are taking multiple counts per test. The last issue has to do with making sure the technicians know the correct responses for when the daily checks are outside the 2SD or 3SD limits.
