Our number one job is to protect the public. To have the public and
your organization put at risk because of another department (that does
NOT go through the same rigorous radiological protection training as RP)
error the answer is Hell NO.

Subject: Powernet: Quick Benchmark Question - Non-HPs escorting RAM
outside the RCA?

Quick benchmark question:

Do your procedures allow for non-HPs to escort radioactive material
outside the RCA?

For example, some tool/equipment that reads below 5 mR/hr and no
smearable? Perhaps a non-exempt source for rad monitor calibration? A
Chemistry sample?

Thanks, Eric
