Have switched to vest style safety harnesses instead of the ones that need to be removed over head The harnesses used in CA are smeared shiftily when in use, stored on rack in area, when reach pre determined smearable level they are sent to laundry Have found the retractable cable on shock absorber contaminated, but not harness. Exelon, UniTech and safety harness vendor have worked to have a specific wash process for harnesses. They are then air dried and returned to site Quarterly surveillance of safety harnesses performed that are stored in Hot tool room.
