Hi All, We are having some trouble finding Radiation Protection/Health Physics departments in the industry who own the AR/PR setpoint programs...
If you don't have the program in your department, could you please forward information to us on who at your plant could help answer our questions? Thank you! What I am looking for in general terms is the process and controls you have for making changes to area and process radiation monitor alarm setpoints. How are they developed/calculated and how are they reviewed. What are type documents are controlling? My specific points are: 1. Determine Setpoint calculation method for Area Radiation (AR) Monitors - bases for limits and calculations/methods used. 2. Determine Setpoint in calculation methods for effluent and tech spec radiation monitors, what type conservatism and bases for assumed nuclide mixes. 3. Determine Setpoint calculations for process (non-effluent radiaton monitors- what type conservatism and bases for assumed nuclide mixes, bases for the equations used. 4. Determine the process used to review and approve Setpoint changes Michael J. Gagnon Senior Health Physicist Exelon - Braidwood Station (815) 417-2733 Fax (815)417-2410 Amanda L.
