Subject: Powernet: Quick Survey on "Beta Booths"

1. What make/model of RCA personnel beta exit monitor do you use?
Canberra ARGOS-5AB

2. What is your typical count time per side?
10 to 15 seconds

3. Any recent INPO hits on your current process?
No issues with the monitor tests. The only thing that may be of interest
is that we had a couple of failed daily response checks from some holes
in the Mylar where the monitor did not take itself out of service on its
own. We use the manufacturer's recommended low background rate setting
of 90 cpm. We are processing a procedure change to permit us to move
this value up to about 2/3 the normal background rate and this should
improve that situation.
