Oconee, McGuire, and Catawba share a common EOF in Charlotte, NC, which is outside the 10 mile EPZ for all 3 sites. We do not monitor for contamination as personnel enter the facility and we do not maintain monitoring equipment at the EOF.

We do not monitor for contamination typically. If the ERO members have traveled through the plume with ground desposition....or the plume is depositing RAM at the EOF .....then we would monitor with a frisker from our emergency kit. No permanent PCMs installed. The facilites are activated at an Alert and staffed by personnel from the station and from off site. I have two short questions. 1. Do personnel monitor for contamination as they enter the facility? 2. If yes, what is the monitoring equipment used: hand held friskers, portal monitors or other. Thanks Douglas L.
