Braidwood utilizes both. We have approx 90 EDs that we check quarterly for battery and cal due. These EDs are ready to go with alarm setpoints at 1000 rem and 10000 rem/hr, all the individual has to do is turn them on by pressing/holding the button down for a few seconds. The kits also have batteries to swap out in case the battery is low upon discovery during an event (if the battery is replaced, the data inside isn't reset, so the ED will still function as normal).
Implementation was inclusion of ED checks on the quarterly surveillance, instructions on how to use included in kit, and distribution of alarm setpoints to EP team. Amanda L.
