When we started with VSDS I scanned our older maps and entered them in
as a TIF file. As they needed revising they were redrawn. It was
easier than drawing them all again and a lot quicker. I started with
the several hundred maps we had that were hand drawn in the early 80s.
Over the ten years we have used the system many of them have been
replaced by now. That was a more manageable approach for us. The
scanned TIF files also looked decent in the system but it would depend
on the quality of your originals.

Subject: Powernet: Vendor Assistance Creating Corel Images for VSDS

I would like to know if anyone has used or is aware of a vendor that
would be interested in taking some of our old survey maps and entering
them into Corel so we can link them to VSDS survey maps.

Thanks,
