Hi All,

After 30 years of exemplary service, Diablo Canyon will begin outsourcing most,
if not all, of our TLD processing beginning 1/1/14. The primary reason is the
need to make a significant capital expense for new TLDs. I want to thank
Scott, Don, Joel, Jack, Neal, Orlando, Tom and Rick for their dedication and
commitment to excellence over this past 30 years.

Beginning 1/1/2014 we will also begin letting TLDs go home and we will switch
to a 6 month changeout frequency. I have a number of questions of all of you
who have already made this transition.

1) For those that allow TLDs to go home, is the TLD/DLR integrated into the
keycard lanyard? If so, how? If not, how do you encourage folks not to pass
the TLD/DLR through the search train x-ray devices?

2) For those that allow TLDs to go home, during TLD changeout do you announce
the changeout and stage new TLDs somewhere? Any suggestions on how best to
accomplish this process?

3) How much time (%FTE) do you spend with the logistics of TLD shipping,
receiving and accountability?

4) What kind of quality control do you do with your TLD/DLR processing vendor,
i.e. blind spikes, Battelle shots, etc.?

5) Do you have any lessons learned to share about this transition process to
both a vendor and allowing TLDs to go offsite?

Please provide a contact name and phone number, if possible.

Thanks,

Linda
