>From Callaway
For routine operations Callaway has a "water cooler" type dispensing machine
outside the contaminated area at the Reactor Building Access Hatch. The hatch
attendant dispenses water across the contaminated area boundary for folks that
come out for water. The water cooler is locked with an RP key when not in use.
The attendant dispenses water cup at a time using contamination control gloves
to hand new cups in. During outages, this water station is moved to the RB
exit monitors outside the contaminated control area.

During outages, we install one or two foot operated water fountain inside the
contaminated area depending upon the outage. One is generally on the operating
deck outside the RB, the other one is on the lower level of the RB. Personnel
can use this on a "walk up basis", RP has shiftly contamination survey routines
on the water fountains.

The RP Supervisor office also has "Gatorade" type drinks in the refrigerator,
we will take these in if necessary and allow someone to drink from a new
container.

Wanted to get a quick benchmark on your policies for hydration in contamination
areas, especially what you do during outages and high heat work with full PPE
(coveralls, hood, gloves, etc.). Do you have water bottles available? Water
coolers? Hydration packs (ref CamelBak - type)? Squeeze bottles (like you see
in the boxers' corners)?

Thanks,

Wade
