I recall the SAC-4 to be a six decade readout in cpm, with the understanding that the scaling range is between 0 and 999,999.
We have heard reports that the SAC-4 cannot display zero, instead, a blank display indicates zero. Does this make sense, a blank display is zero? Thank you. For other CA's outside of Containment, it depends on the dress out criteria. If they are going in with booties and a lab coat, they would not be required to wear a cover over their hard hat (ex. For a visual inspection). If they are in full PC's they will be required to wear a cover over their hard hat. Per our procedure hard hats are not considered personal clothing and therefor do not count as a PCE. Alysse K.
