Palo Verde periodically hires a robot guru who contracts for an ISI company. He
brings his own robots, uses them to get video for visual inspections in high
dose rate areas, and handles all their maintenance and repair.

Our most recent big example was to support repairs of a bottom mounted
instrument nozzle under the reactor vessel.

If that sort of thing appeals to you, drop me a line and I will find you his
contact information.

Ft. Calhoun Power Station would like to know if anyone has any experience they
would be willing to sharer about robots used for high rad/very high rad surveys
and inspections.

1. Did you purchase your own or contract the service?

2. Who is responsible for operation and maintenance?

3. What type of robot you use and under what circumstances are they used.

4. Suppliers used.

5. Any lessons learned.

Thank you all in advance,
