ANO currently uses RADMAN 9.1.1

The program works as advertised with one exception. Version 9.X now calculates
a scaling factor for ALL isotopes. When shipping waste with extremely low
levels of activity ( Cs-137 only in the -7 range) the program calculates a
scaling factor for Tc-99. C-14. H-3 and I-129 even if recorded as an LLD value
on the sample. This can cause reported LLDs on the manifest as high as 50 Ci.

SONGS is conducting a quick industry survey on RADMAN. Response to the
following questions would be appreciated.

Does your plant use the RADMAN software to support the shipping of radioactive
material?

If so, are you currently using or planning to use version 9?

Thank you, Sandy
