Bob,

Comanche Peak response

If facial contamination is present around the nose and mouth, obtain nasal
smears
and direct worker to report to dosimetry for a whole body count.

If nasal smears are > 100 ncpm as determined by a GM pancake detector, send the
sample to Chemistry for gamma analysis and document.

Subject: Powernet: Nasal Swabs

Duke Energy would appreciate any response you can provide on the following
question. Thanks in advance.

In responding to a potential uptake of radioactive material, do site procedures
allow, or not allow, for collecting nasal swabs on affected personnel?
