Feedback and thoughts to support briefing personnel in order to refrain from conducting RP briefings during critical path time frames is appreciated. For example: Are ALARA plan briefings scheduled prior to the outage? ALARA briefs are conducted prior to opening the breaker to any / all workers who have been processed on-site. Many employees are not processed in until after the breaker opens, so we attempt to brief as many as possible. Also, certain evolutions’ ALARA Plan briefs are not conducted any more than 24 hrs before the evolution. Are Project Leads responsible for these ALARA plan briefings? ALARA staff usually provide ALARA Plan briefs to workers, but HPs that will be providing coverage/support will perform the brief, if appropriate. Is there a timeframe prior to an outage for conducting these briefings? (for example, within one or two weeks of an outage) Pre Outage briefs are usually conducted within 2 weeks prior to the outage.
