Response from GGNS Yes we have admin limits set at 80% of the federal limits for eyes, skin, extremity.
Not really. It is not addressed in the procedures. If we know there is an eye or skin hazard we will mitigate hazards, but we do not actively track anything. DO NOT click links if sender is unknown. DO NOT provide your user ID or password. I have two (2) questions that came up during a recent consulting job. Does your site have administrative limits for extremity, skin and/or eye doses that are lower than the federal limit? Do doses for these part of the body fall under your ALARA program and why? This is a data gathering activity. I will put the data together and summarize the findings later with my thoughts.
