Subject: RE: Elimination of Respiratory Protection for Field Monitor Teams

Here is my take:

* We maintain respirators in our survey vans (full face).

* Every RP Tech and OSC member is required to be mask fitted and
respirator qualified (including the survey van driver) to be on the ERO.

* The respirator does offer protection that COULD be used in lieu of
restricting access for FMT due to DAC or iodine and COULD preclude
administering KI.

So I don't see us making a change but I am curious in other responses.

This is an EXTERNAL email. STOP. THINK before you CLICK links or OPEN
Power Net Users,

Looking for feedback from sites that do NOT utilized Respiratory Protection for
their Field Monitoring Teams. I am beginning to pull together a Position paper
on this topic and would love to hear from other utilities that have traveled
this path.

Currently, the Exelon Nuclear utilities do NOT have their FMTs use respirators
and I am reaching out to see if others in the nation have followed.

You can contact me personally at the number below if needed.
