I sent this request for information just prior to the Thanksgiving holiday and
haven't received any responses yet so I'm resending just in case it didn't get
to everyone or in case it's buried under many other emails received over the
Holidays. I would appreciate any and all responses.

Subject: Efficiency Gains in HRA Controls

I am looking for any ideas/responses regarding the following questions/issues...

1. Has anyone developed/implemented changes to their High Radiation
Area Controls process that has resulted in appreciable efficiency gains for the
Radiation Protection organization?

2. What method do you use or what barriers do you put in place to
ensure a RP technician returns a HRA/LHRA/VHRA key before leaving site at the
end of his/her shift?

3. (For those using Sentinel) Does anyone use the "High Rad Keys"
functionality in Sentinel to inventory, issue, and return HRA keys?

4. (For PWR only) Do you use lockable LHRA shield doors on your S/G
manways during S/G maintenance activities in an outage?

If so, how do you "guard" the LHRA whenever the shield door is required to be
unlocked/open (tool head change, camera change, etc.)? Who performs this
"guard" function (RP, platform worker)?

Have you developed a method for sampling air or taking radiation readings
inside the channel head without unlocking/opening the shield door?

Thank you in advance for all responses.
