At your facility:
What media do you use for alpha swipes/smears? We use the standard cloth
smears, but no self-absorption correction factor.

Do you use a self- absorption correction factor for your smears?

Our air sample alpha self-absorption factor is 0.7 based on the fibrous side
out (front) and the woven side down (back). What is you correction factor?

ANSI N13.49 states cloth fibers can attenuate alpha particles and should not be
used. I cannot find any self- absorption factor for cloth smears listed in
health physics documents or guidelines.
