Hello Everyone I got a phone call from Abedeen Proving Grounds this morning from their radiological response team.
They are using some of the Thermo RadEye PRDs and they would like to develop a better calibration procedure for that specific instrument, a step-by-step procedure with screen shots. Here at Los Alamos we use a generic calibration procedure that is specific to the type of external radiation field rather than the specific instrument. Do any of you calibrate the RadEye PRDs ? If you do are you willing to share your cal procedure with the US Army ? The HPS Power Reactor Section will have a business meeting at the HPS July meeting in Raleigh, NC. Please try to attend that meeting. Also a new HPS Section (Instrumentation Section) has been formed and will meet Monday night July 10 in Raleigh. Best regards Tom
