DC Cook response: Container surveys are performed semi-annually. RP maintains a list of containers requiring these surveys. Survey protocol is a LAS or 100 cm2 smears, and dose rate. "Effort of the survey should be proportionate with the container's contents." Do not require a specific percentage. We allow for tamper indicating tape/label to not perform a survey for the period, with appropriate documentation.
