Michael,

We use DMC2000's set at 100 dose and 100mr/hr rate for Fast Entry emergencies.

For ERO we use DMC's as well if entry is into RCA but in general we zero and
assign PIC's at facilities located away from RCA.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [powernet] What do other facilities use for secondary
personnel dose monitoring for fire brigade members and emergency planning
member estimated dose

What do other facilities use for secondary personnel dose monitoring for fire
brigade members and emergency planning member estimated dose.

We currently have a long history of using PICs for fire brigade member quick
members responding to any fire inside the RCA? The PICs are set to zero on a
scheduled periodic basis.

Our Emergency Response organization(ERO) has DLRs has the primary ERO personnel
dosimeter and electronic SRDs( that have the parameters set for automatic turn
on) and additional supply of PICs as the secondary personnel dosimeter.

Just wanted to see if other facilities continue to use PICs.
