Duke uses electronic dosimeters. We have eliminated the use of PICs in our
program due to the manpower demand for managing them. This includes emergency
plan kits. Also, EDs have the advantage of being able to provide real time
telemetry vs. PICs.

Subject: [Powernet] Suquehanna NPP benchmark question - extremity dose tracking

*** Exercise caution. This is an EXTERNAL email. DO NOT open attachments or
click links from unknown senders or unexpected email. ***
Our current station procedures direct tracking of extremity dose to be
performed using PICs in conjunction with each extremity DLR.

* Is your facility tracking extremity dose using PICs, or do you use
electronic dosimeters?

* Do you have any internal OE or technical basis for using one over the
other?

Thank you,
