NUREG-0737 is probably the best source for accident range radiation
monitors.

Subject: [Powernet] Reg Guide 1.97 implementation

Everyone

I have seen some questions from NPP operators about the implementation of
Reg Guide 1.97 about the maximum range of detection for effluent monitors in
the instance of potential fuel failures or other accidents.

I don't see a stated maximum range for these gaseous effluent monitors
actually in Reg Guide 1.97. Is the maximum range statement in some other
document ?

Is the maximum range of gaseous effluent monitors covered in some other
document.

Thanks

Tom
