Attached is a .tar.gz of just the PMDB documentation. Sorry about the attachment.
The proper place for this is in the source tree itself. I put it there, but it could be some time before it shows up in the repository outside of Sun. So, I thought I had better not spend more time trying to figure out how all that works, and just send it to this mailing list. I tried visiting opensolaris PowerPC related websites. I saw a source tree, but it is ancient. I don't have a clue what revision of the source tree is actually seen by the world outside Sun Labs. Navigating the web sites that I saw did not help. INSTALLATION ------------ I have not actually tested it outside my workspace. But, I don't think it has any dependencies on my environment or workspace. You need make, makeinfo, etc. but nothing that depends on being run under bldenv or anything like that. That is the theory, anyway. If you are going to update it and are into ispell, then you would need ispell and perl to run the script to prep for ispell. You should be able to unpack it into an empty directory, and type 'make', then 'info pmdb'. Or, just use 'les' or some pager to browse through the entire pmdb.info file. Let me know if that does not work for you. I have made no attempt to convert to man or to format and print it. It is almost certainly lacking in both of those areas. My only tests have been to run 'info'. -- Guy Shaw -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
