Hi, i'd like to deprecate all kernel 2.4.x support code (and remove it later). For now, i'd just put it under a #ifdef which is usually not defined (but can be at compile time). The 2.4.x stuff is not (and was never) really used by anyone (and i doubt it even works). I am not removing the code now, i just #ifdef it out.
