We have to run powersave/kpowersave in valgrind before sending out
this time.

Tracking this one down for 9.3 shortly before 10.0 is bad, we all have a lot
work to do?

I have a feeling that this comes from scheme fetching code which should
have been elemintated from Holger ...

Subject: Memory leak in kpowersave when switching from AC to battery mode?

Hi,

I use SUSE 9.3 and I believe I have discovered a memory leak in the
kpowersave applet. I found this email address by running "kpowersave
--author". "kpowersave --version" prints:

Qt: 3.3.4
KDE: 3.4.0 Level "b"
KPowersave: 0.4

When kpowersave first runs, it takes up around 30Mb of memory on my
laptop. I noticed that after a couple of hours of using my computer, I
had very little free memory. ksysguard reported that kpowersave was
using over 100Mb of memory. I noticed that if I unplug and then plug in
my power cable for my laptop, the memory usage of kpowersave increases
every time. This suggests to me that there is memory being leaked when
kpowersave switches from AC mode to battery mode.

I use my laptop with suspend to disk (i.e. I rarely reset) so this means
I have to restart kpowersave every so often because it wastes so much
memory. My laptop often switches to battery power and back again as the
power cable twists when the computer is on my lap (hardware problem
though) so the memory leak is very noticeable for me.

Thanks.
