Sure it is. I mixed something up. Kwrited displays all messages which
appear on console triggered by the 'wall' command. It's KDE which does
this.
But notify_console should not be enabled by default and it was not in
beta4.
Mark can you tel us what the value of NOTIFY_METHOD is on your system?
