Apparently it shows the wrong state forever. For example, I have restored my
laptop from suspended (to disk) state 45 minutes ago, and it still shows
"battery is charging"!
powersave -a returns: ONLINE
As a consequence of that, the active scheme is Performance, instead of
Powersave as it should be if Powersave correctly detected the computer was
running on batteries.
And two other seemingly related problems happen:
- When the system returns from suspended state, the LCD brightness level
is much higher than it was before suspension. And it is brighter than
what the variable DISPLAY_BRIGHTNESS is set to in *both*
scheme_performance and scheme_powersave.
- Since Powersave thinks the laptop is charging (when, in reality, it is
is not), it doesn't notify the user when the battery changes to
warning, low or critical states.
Should I file a bug concerning this?
