Hi, today I got feedback from a user who has read the powersave documentation (Yes, there are users who read docs ;-). He was a little bit puzzled, that the documentation says (docs/powersave.tex, line 70), that ACPID (amongst other daemons) must not be running, because powersave would handle the ACPI functionality. But the initscript says, that for a ACPI enabled system, a running acpid is required (which is correct, now that hal and other processes also need access to ACPI information, so powersaved can't exclusively grab /proc/acpi/event). So I would suggest, to either delete ACPID from this list of daemons, or rephrase the paragraph a bit. Stating that acpid is required for an ACPI system, but should not process event itself, something like this. Comments?
Cheers, Michael -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
