This email is to inform you about the release of version '0.5.11-rc5' of
'KPowersave' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information

The changes in this release are as follows:
This release candidate fixes the brightness handling. To avoid display
off, the lowest level of brightness is now the last usable level. In
connection with powersave >= 0.12.7, brightness for the pmu and
omnibook modules is now also supported. With this release, KPowersave
hides laptop-specific functions and widgets on non-laptop machines
(e.g. lid related issues). The root user can now always use all kinds
of suspend/standby by default. This version also includes a fix for
Slackware (unistd.h), translation and documentation updates/cleanups,
and some minor fixes.

for KDE. It is based on the powersave package and therefore supports
APM and ACPI.
