Yes. This is not a powersaved issue, but a linux kernel issue.

With a vanilla kernel there are no options, but with the suspend2 patch
you can use a file for storing the image IIRC. Ask on the suspend2 list
how to do that.
There might be some work to be done to integrate suspend2 into powersaved,
but this should be easy.

BTW: the image size with the vanilla kernel suspend is at most half the
     size of your physical memory, and can be made even smaller, so if
     your swap is as big as the physical memory, this should normally
     not be a problem.
