Two Separatists Caught in Maluku TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Maluku police said two men involved in the maluku separatist flag waving in front of President Yudhoyono in 2007 was caught last week in separate locations. Maryenes Tuapattinaya, 36, was caught in Paperu Village on Thursday last week, while Samuel Pattipeiluhu was caught in Tuhaha Village on Saturday, all are located in Saparua, Central Maluku. As of April 2008 authorities have tried four men out of 27 men who presented the tribal dance of Maluku and waved the flag of South Maluku Republic including the man who was deemed as the mastermind of the incident, Johan Teterissa a 45 year old elementary school headmaster in the province. Johan was given life sentence. In the incident on June 29 2007, police caught some of the men while some others managed to flee. Jakarta replaces security chief from the police and army after the incident and continue hunting the escaped dancers.
