I don't know if I agree on this. If mathematics is a good preparation for programming class it should be because it teaches student "how to think" not because the teacher happens to like math.

Actually I would say that a teacher that uses math for examples without regard to the students background etc is a bad teacher (why use math exempals if you're teaching programming to people with no interest in math)
