Assalamu`alaikum wr.wb menarik mengikuti diskusi tentang kekaguman terhadap Malaysia
dalam pengamatan saya, dan hasil berinteraksi dengan teman-teman Malaysia di sini, Malaysia memang ada plus dan minusnya dalam bidang perencanaan pendidikan dan ekonomi, tentu saja kita tidak dapat mengatakan bahwa negara kita lebih baik dari Malaysia saya seringkali iri melihat mereka begitu peduli dengan pendidikan anak-anak Malaysia di Kobe, rekan-rekan Malaysia kebanyakan dibiayai oleh Kerajaan Malaysia (di satu sisi memang mereka jelas lebih makmur daripada kita) sedangkan teman-teman Indonesia, hampir semua yang ada di sini dibiayai oleh pemerintah Jepang (baik melalui beasiswa langsung dari Japan Government ataupun pinjaman tidak langsung melalui pemerintah Indonesia) mungkin kita akan dengan mudah mengatakan bahwa negara kita "miskin" sehingga tidak mampu membiayai mahasiswa ke luar negeri namun kalau kita melongok dana kampanye pemilu DPR, DPD, dan Pilpres I, ditambah dengan berbagai kebocoran anggaran negara, maka sungguh akan terasa ironi bahwa kita tidak punya plan untuk memberangkatkan anak bangsa ke luar negeri dengan biaya pemerintah, tanpa pinjaman jadi masalahnya adalah pada prioritas, pendidikan atau korupsi saya pernah bincang-bincang cukup lama dengan seorang doktor elektro dari University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) beliau merupakan contoh bentuk kepedulian yang tinggi dari pemerintah Malaysia terhadap pendidikan pribumi pemerintah Malaysia, menurut beliau, secara rutin melakukan monitoring bibit unggul pribumi sejak dari pendidikan dasar bila ada bibit unggul, maka si anak ybs akan dibiayai penuh pendidikannya oleh pemerintah sejak sekolah dasar hingga pasca sarjana di luar negeri (beliau menempuh S3 di Inggris) dan pola semacam itu memang rutin dilakukan oleh pemerintah Malaysia ini sangat bertolak belakang dengan kisah juara-juara olimpiade fisika, biologi, dan matematika dari Indonesia yang terbaru adalah kisah bingung dari seorang peraih perunggu olimpiade biologi dunia, karena setelah dinyatakan diterima di ITB, dia masih harus memikirkan biaya hidup di bandung dan biaya kuliahnya ironi oleh karena itu, sungguh natural kalau seorang mantan anggota olimpiade fisika, Nelson Tansu, sekarang sudah disabet oleh sebuah universitas di USA, dan di sana dia menduduki posisi Asistant Profesor, dengan kecepatan karya yang luar biasa ini karena, negara cerdas seperti USA tahu benar manfaat SDM yang unggul bagi kelangsungan bangsanya (note: USA cerdas dalam hal tertentu, dan sangat jahil dalam banyak hal lainnya) kembali ke komparasi pendidikan Malaysia dan Indonesia maka tidak heran kalau saat ini, beberapa perguruan tinggi ternama di Malaysia mulai mengembangkan edu-turism dan mengarahkan market nya ke Indonesia dengan biaya pendidikan yang kadang lebih murah dari perguruan tinggi BHMN (yang sekarang mahal-mahal), perguruan tinggi Malaysia bisa memberikan fasilitas riset yang jauh lebih komplit dari perguruan tinggi BHMN kita dari segi ekonomi, ambil contoh pengembangan petronas waduh, mereka sudah jauh meninggalkan mantan guru mereka, pertamina petronas saat ini sudah memiliki berpuluh-puluh sumur minyak di luar negeri sedangkan kita, masih berkutat pada undangan-undangan kepada investor untuk mengelola sumur minyak di tanah air apakah SMD kita lebih rendah dari Malaysia? saya bisa mengatakan dengan tegas, insya Allah tidak justru saya melihat bahwa SDM kita lebih kreatif dan inovatif lalu di mana masalahnya? pemerintah kita, seperti kata Kwiek Kian Gie, justru seringkali menjadi sumber masalah daripada problem solver ini bedanya dengan Malaysia namun dari segi kebebasan berpendapat & kebebasan pers memang kita lebih advance dari Malaysia kebebasan berpendapat dan kebebasan pers adalah buah reformasi yang bagi saya tidak bisa dinilai dengan materi karena kebebasan berpikir dan mengemukakan pendapat adalah naluri manusia yang tidak bisa diberangus dia akan selalu mencari cara penyaluran dalam hal itu, kita memang lebih menyenangkan saya amati, teman-teman Malaysia di sini tidak tertarik membicarakan politik dalam negeri mereka dan kalaupun kita ajak ngobrol masalah itu, mereka cenderung tidak bersemangat dan akhirnya menghindar dari topik itu berbeda dengan mahasiswa Indonesia, tanpa dipancing pun, mereka akan sangat serius memikirkan perpolitikan bangsa dengan tujuan ikut memikirkan masalah bangsa ok, bagi saya, kebebasan berpikir dan berpendapat yang sudah ada di negara kita merupakan kebanggaan yang perlu terus dipertahankan dari segala rongrongan pekerjaan rumah terbesar bangsa kita adalah dalam hal pemberantasan KKN Wassalamu`alaikum wr.wb Yuli Setyo Indartono Kobe --- In [EMAIL PROTECTED], dicky riyadi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > bener juga mas... > > pers indonesia adalah gombal.... menggelar demokrasi sambil memamerkan paha dan pornografi......, > > menggelar sadisme, syetan, darah muncrat, bunuh diri tangan disayat, lewat televisi.. > > hebat indonesia.... > > pers indonesia juga merasa berhak mengadili tersangka tanpa proses pengadilan... sekan-akan setiap ada kasus tertentu, tersangka adalah bersalah,... nama dan foto juga digeber tanpa kode etik melindungi jati diri manusiawi.. > > inikah demokrasi?
