Ya, kalau kita pakai cara pandang si Himawan S, maka semua yang bule,
non Islam, adalah imperialis dan penjajah.

Padahal, Denmark adalah negara yang super damai, kaya makmur,
toleran, dan tidak fanatik agama. Tetapi tetap saja menjadi ajang
serangan teror.

nation's juvenile delinquents. Meanwhile, violent crimes throughout
Copenhagen are on the rise
>
> City police are concerned about the rising incidence of immigrant
teens wielding knives - and using them. Children of immigrant
families are dominating the capital city crime scene like never
before, representing an increasing segment of arrests for violent
crime, even as crime rates for their Danish-born peers are on the
decline.
>
> "The situation is extremely alarming. We've been aware of the trend
for a while now, but things are moving in the wrong direction
entirely," said Copenhagen Police inspector Per Larsen.
>
> Larsen spoke with Jyllands-Posten after the release of pessimistic
figures from Copenhagen Municipal Court. In the first seven months of
the year, 63 juveniles were arraigned on charges stemming from
violent crimes. 53 of these youngsters came from immigrant families,
while just 10 were Danish born. The latest arrest figures represent
the highest crime rate for immigrant youth in five years, and the
lowest rate for native Danes. According to Larsen, immigrant
teenagers are typically arrested on assault and robbery charges, and
these crimes increasingly involve the use of knives.
>
> "We've gone back to the way things were around the year 2000, when
the problem was serious. Young immigrant gangs have a much higher
profile. And they're not just limited to parts of Nrrebro or the
inner city late at night on the weekends - they're present wherever
large groups of people gather, and gang members are increasingly
quick to pull a knife in these situations," said Larsen.
>
> Copenhageners have been shocked by a number of brutal stabbings
over the past year involving immigrant teenagers. First came the
killing of Italian tourist Antonio Curr, who was knifed down in
Nrrebro last August. Two young immigrants will stand trial for
Curr's killing in two months' time.
>
> Last month, a 21-year-old bystander became inadvertently involved
in a fight in front of Vestergade discotheque Woodstock, and was
stabbed in the heart by a 19-year-old youth of non-Danish ethnicity.
Ten days later, central Copenhagen was the scene of yet another late-
night stabbing, when an American exchange student sustained multiple
stab wounds to the chest after an altercation with five immigrant
boys on Kgs. Nytorv. Last weekend, a 29-year-old Norwegian was
stabbed in the back by a gang of immigrant youths at Diskotek Barfly
on Lvstrde, after bickering with the youths on the street outside.
>
> "And these aren't the only cases - they're just the stories that
make the headlines. Violent crimes are on the rise throughout
Copenhagen, and even though the most serious assault cases are at a
more or less steady level, the assaults themselves are becoming more
violent. This is primarily because immigrant youth are much quicker
to pull a knife, so the consequences are far more serious. The
reaction pattern in banal confrontations is more violent than we've
been accustomed to. You can't expect to talk yourself out of a
situation any more. Horrific things can happen - and last weekend's
incident is a classic example. I would advise people not to play the
hero in street altercations - watch yourself," said Larsen.
>
> Last year's murder of Antonio Curr led to a change in city laws,
which now prohibit individuals from carrying concealed pocketknives
and switchblades. Police have been granted broader powers to search
people for weapons without concrete suspicion, if they believe the
probability is high that illegal knives are being used within a
limited geographical area.

> The Liberal Party's integration spokeswoman will sponsor a bill
making it easier for welfare officials to forcibly remove immigrant
children whose parents forbid them from integration into Danish
society
>
> Liberal Party integration spokeswoman Irene Simonsen has proposed
removing children from immigrant families, if parents refuse to let
them integrate into Danish society. Simonsen has proposed placing
these children with foster families capable of instilling democratic
values in them.
>
> "Forcibly removing children from their parents' homes is a drastic
step, but we need to focus on the children's best interests. Their
interests are not being served by raising them to be hostile to
Danish society. If they're held back from integration and subjected
to psychological pressures, it could force them on to a path of
delinquency, crime and perhaps even eventual recruitment by extremist
groups. The system must step in and remove these children, so they
can be raised in foster care according to democratic norms," said
Simonsen, who has not yet presented her proposal to the Liberal
Party's parliamentary group.
>
> According to Simonsen, today's child welfare system only intervenes
in cases involving actual neglect.
>
> "But there's a hard core of families out there that make no secret
of their hatred for Denmark. They're beyond the reach of education,
even though a number of approaches - from incentives to penalties -
have been tried. Their children may not be victims of abuse in the
classic sense, but they're not being raised to be part of society.
It's time to get tougher with these families and consider forcibly
removing their children," Simonsen told daily newspaper Jyllands-
Posten.
>
> Each year, some 14,000 Danish children are placed into foster care.
In 90 percent of these cases, the decision to remove children from
their parents' homes is voluntary, and conducted in cooperation
between welfare authorities and parents. The National Association of
Local Authorities (KL) reports that relatively fewer children of
immigrant background are placed in foster care, compared to Danish
children.
>
> "This is due, among other factors, to cultural differences, as
immigrant parents have a tougher time accepting that they're not up
to the task (of raising their children). In some councils, meanwhile,
it's impossible to find enough qualified foster families," said
Henrik Skovdal, a child welfare consultant with KL.
>
> Skovdal cautioned against believing that more involuntary child
removals would result in better integration for immigrant children.
>
> "There is no statistical basis to indicate that it is in any way
helpful," said Skovdal.
>
> The right-wing Danish People's Party has come out in support of
Irene Simonsen's proposal. Deputy party leader Peter Skaarup says
welfare officials have been too hesitant to take action against
immigrant families.
>
> "It is neglectful to send one's child to a Koran school in Pakistan
that uses strict indoctrination," said Skaarup.
>
> The Social Democrats support removing more immigrant children from
troubled homes, but would prefer to see action taken in cooperation
with parents, and has urged welfare officials to recruit more foster
families.
